Trīsritenis – mocis vai rotaļlieta?

Visos ievērības cienīgos motociklistu salidojumos parasti ir sastopams vismaz viens traiks. Tomēr tie Latvijā nav plaši izplatīti, tāpēc šeit mēģināsim noskaidrot, kas ir traiks, kādas ir tā priekšrocības un kādi ir apsvērumi, izvēlēties šādu transporta līdzekli.
Trīsritenis ir transporta līdzeklis uz trīs riteņiem. Par triciklu jeb traiku mēs sauksim motorizētu trīsriteni, kas ir veidots pēc līdzības ar motociklu.
Trīsriteņa vēsture ir gandrīz tikpat sena kā riteņa vēsture. Pirmās liecības par trīsriteņa izmantošanu ir fiksētas 1828. gadā. Tā bijusi trīsratu kariete. Taču vēstures fakti šajā jautājumā ir pretrunīgi. Trīsriteņiem to attīstības gaitā izmantoti tādi dzinējspēki, kā pedāļi, tvaika un iekšdedzes dzinēji. Pieaugušo trīsritenis ir zināms kopš 1868. gada, savukārt 1885. gadā K. Bencs uzbūvēja mototrīsriteni – pasaulē pirmo braucamrīku, kuru pārvietoja viencilindrīgs benzīna dzinējs, tāpēc traiks ir uzskatāms par pašu pirmo motorizēto transporta līdzekli. Primārais jaunizgudrotā motora uzdevums bijis aizstāt ratos zirgu.
Mūsdienās vispopulārākie ir bērnu rotaļu trīsriteņi, taču bieži sastopami ir arī citi daudz sarežģītāki spēkrati, un vairums no tiem ir motorizēti. Tomēr mocis ar blakusvāģi un automobilis uz trīs ratiem netiek uzskatīts par triciklu. Tricikls ir transportlīdzeklis ar īpaši veidotu konstrukciju. Tā riteņi var būt izkārtoti deltas vai kurkuļa veidā. Deltas modelī divi rati ir aizmugurē, bet kurkuļa modelī – priekšā. Kurkuļi bremzējot ir daudz stabilāki un apgāšanās risks zemāks, taču tikai viens aizmugurējais rats tos pakļauj lielākai izlīdzēšanas iespējamībai. Deltas bremzēšana ar priekšējo ratu ir ļoti apgrūtināta, jo bremzējot tas ir jānotur taisni, lai braucamrīks neapgāztos uz sāniem. Vērojama tendence, ka kurkuļa modelis ir grūtāk vadāms, bet deltas modelis ir pārāk jūtīgs.
Traiki ir ļoti ērti visiem tiem, kuriem ir problēmas ar līdzsvaru un kustīgumu. Traiks ir lieliski piemērots, lai pārvadātu vairākus pasažierus ar A kategorijas tiesībām.
Mūsdienu traiki visbiežāk tiek veidoti pēc līdzības ar čoperi, taču ir sastopami dažādi veidojumi, piemēram, John Deere zāles pļāvējs, paštaisīts tricikls ar ZAZ motoru u.c.

Nu ne jau visus, visiem spēka nepietiktu. Bet tā pārsvarā visus.
Tātad traiki ir ērtāki, ar tiem var pārvietoties vairāk pasažieru, un tie prasa mazāku fizisko slodzi. Taču tie ir masīvāki un grūtāk manevrējami. Traiks varētu būt kaut kur pa visu starp motociklu un kabrioletu, tāpēc noslēgumā paliksim pie jautājumiem, kurus katrs pats sev var atbildēt: "Vai traiks tik tiešām ir īsts motocikls, un vai tas ir spējīgs sniegt vēlamo brīvības un adrenalīna devu?"
